The Copa America champion in 2024 will make $16 million.
The winning team of the 2024 Copa America will get $16 million in addition to the honor and distinction of being crowned the finest squad on the continent.
This monetary award is a portion of the $72 million prize pool that the 16 participating teams in the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) will receive.
The distribution of the prize money is broken out as follows:
Participation Award: Just by entering the event, each of the 16 teams will get $2 million. All teams will benefit from having a financial foundation to support their efforts and partially defray the costs of participation thanks to this inaugural reward.
Advancement Rewards: The reward money rises as teams advance through the competition. Teams are encouraged by this framework to aim for higher placements and provide their best effort at every phase of the competition.
Semi-finalists and Upward:
Fourth Place: After losing the third-place game, the team in fourth place will receive $4 million.
Third Place: $5 million will be awarded to the winner of the third-place match.
Runner-Up: The second-place squad will win $7 million.
Champion: A whopping $16 million will be awarded to the Copa America 2024 victor.
The 48th edition of the competition will take place in the US from June 20 to July 14.
Powerhouses Brazil and Uruguay, as well as strong teams like Colombia, Chile, USA, and Mexico, will compete for the championship alongside the reigning champions, Argentina, captained by Lionel Messi.
